About

Pukkelpop is one of Belgium's largest music festivals, held in Hasselt, Limburg each August. Since 1985, it has grown from a small punk event into a major three-day festival drawing around 66,000 daily attendees. Pukkelpop is known for its adventurous programming that mixes indie rock, electronic, hip-hop, metal, and experimental acts. The festival suffered a tragic incident in 2011 when a severe storm caused a stage collapse, killing five people — an event that profoundly shaped Belgium's approach to festival safety. Pukkelpop has hosted Radiohead, The Chemical Brothers, Gorillaz, Arctic Monkeys, and Arcade Fire among many others.
