Rock Werchter is Belgium's premier rock festival, held annually in the fields of Werchter near Leuven. Since 1974 it has grown into one of Europe's most respected festivals, consistently booking the biggest names in rock, pop, and alternative music. The festival has won the International Live Music Conference's Award for Best Festival multiple times — more than any other event. Spread across four days with multiple stages, Rock Werchter is known for its impeccable organization, excellent sound quality, and a loyal audience that returns year after year. Past headliners include Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Metallica, The Rolling Stones, and Coldplay.
