The 8pm-6am schedule is either the best or worst thing depending on what kind of person you are. I am a night owl and it's PERFECT. My partner who likes to sleep before midnight... less so.
Getting a Bicing (city bike share) subscription for the weekend is the transport hack nobody talks about. Way cheaper than taxis at 5am and the ride along the coast is beautiful.
The sea breeze at 3am while watching a set — nothing like it. That alone makes Primavera special.
Your review is spot on. I'd add that the sound bleed between stages has gotten much better in recent years. They really invested in the layout. The walk though... my feet have never recovered.
8.5/10 is fair. I'd give it a 9 purely for the lineup diversity. Name another festival where you can see Bjork, Kendrick Lamar, and Cocteau Twins in the same weekend.
Thursday overcrowding is real. I've started treating Thursday as my "chill exploration day" and saving energy for Fri/Sat. Much better experience.
A short dispatch each week. Lineup announcements, new festivals, and quiet gems worth the trip.
