About

Founded in 2013 by promoter Chris Stacey under the Rock the Ocean banner, Tortuga Music Festival is a three-day, oceanfront country celebration staged directly on the sand at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park in South Florida. Held each April, it's distinguished by its beach-party format — bare feet, swimwear, and live country in the Atlantic breeze — and by its explicit conservation mission. A portion of every ticket supports Rock the Ocean Foundation, which has directed millions to marine research and ocean cleanup nonprofits, and the festival hosts a "Conservation Village" featuring scientists and environmental groups alongside the music. Past headliners have included Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Thomas Rhett, and Blake Shelton, with rock and roots acts rounding out the bill. The compact multi-stage footprint, ocean backdrop, and charity angle make it one of the most unusual stops on the country touring circuit.
