About

Launched by Live Nation in August 2012 under the direction of country promoter Brian O'Connell, Watershed Music Festival is the Pacific Northwest's premier country gathering and one of the most scenic country events in the United States. It takes over The Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington — the cliffside venue famous for its sweeping views of the Columbia River canyon — for three days each August, combining main-stage sets with a massive adjacent campground where boots, flannel, and tailgates fill the high desert. The inaugural 2012 lineup featured Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, and Dierks Bentley, and subsequent years have hosted Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Brandi Carlile, Hardy, and Old Dominion. The combination of the Gorge's golden-hour sunsets behind the stage and the festival's camping culture has made it a sell-out annual pilgrimage, routinely filling the amphitheater's roughly 27,500-capacity bowl.
